Saisonauftakt in Italien.

Wie immer an die 100 Teilnehmer in diversen Klassen am Start.
Junior Dragster, Bracket und Zeitklassen für „Straßenautos“, Pro ET und Supro ET.
Der AMP (American Motors Pavia) zeichnete sich wieder für die Durchführung verantwortlich.

 

Super Pro ET:
Siebzehn Teilnehmer gehen in die Quali und dann im 32 Feld in die Eliminations.
Bruckmüller, Cassinelli und Schlegel sind die ersten drei der Quali. Top Qualifyer Mike Bruckmüller in E1 mit Byerun, in E2 dann gegen Gerhard Dold verloren. Der Süddeutsche in der blauen Corvette gewann das Rennen an der Ampel.
Fabio Cassinelli unterlag in Runde Eins dem aktuellen Challenge Sieger Franz Aschenbrenner. Der Bayer hat den Mustang von Vergaser auf Einspritzung umgebaut und hat schnell ein gutes Setup gefunden.
Martin Schlegel im „Old Smuggler“ verliert in Runde eins gegen Enrico Bailo, dem Lokalmatador. Somit die ersten drei der Quali schon draußen.
Bailo gewinnt in E2 gegen den Challenge Vieze Oliver Petzold. In Runde 3 hat Bailo einen Byerun ins Halbfinale.
Alex Halter trifft in Runde Drei auf Aschenbrenner. Der Schweizer hat das Nachsehen, Aschenbrenner mit dem Mustang im Halbfinale.
Die dritte Paarung in E3 ist Gerhard Dold gegen Eric Mathis. Der rote Bel Air des Schweizers hat sich schon gegen Walle Strobel und Claude Knopf durchgesetzt. Auch hier hat der Schweizer die Nase vorne und steht gegen „Byerun“ im Halbfinale.
Somit steht Eric Mathis erste Finalist fest. Das andere Halbfinale gewinnt Enrico Bailo in der „Late Sixties“ Nova gegen Franz Aschenbrenner, der somit Dritter wird.
Mathis gewinnt gegen Bailo und ist somit der Erste Sieger der noch jungen kontinentalen Saison.

Pro ET:
Eine riesen Klasse an diesem Wochenende. Siebenunddreißig Teilnehmer bewerben sich auf das Feld.
„All Run“, somit viele Byeruns im Verlauf des Rennens. Sacco vor Caruso und Gilioli in der Quali.
Im Rennen dann Petra Langenberger in Runde Eins raus. Wolfgang Seppi in Runde Zwei, Janine Hagen schaffte es bis in Runde Drei.
Am Ende stand Sacco, der Top Qualifyer gegen Phillip Thurner im Finale.
Thurner, der Mann aus Österreich mit seiner orange / schwarzen Nova gewinnt.

Junior Dragster:
Acht Mädels und Jungs treten an, darunter 4 Teilnehmer*innen aus BRD.
Leah Müller vom Team Wankelmotorguru, Max Rygol, sowie Lukas Schmidt und Florian Schmidt (beide Söhne von Flo Uebel und Silke Schmidt, Florian zum ersten Mal im Renneinsatz).
Quali: Samantha Fermond an der Spitze, vor Cassinelli und Rygol.
Im Rennen gewinnt Leah Müller gegen Samantha in E1, Max Rygol gegen Florian Schmidt, Melissa Bailo sowie Lukas Schmidt auch weiter.
Halbfinale: Max Rygol gewinnt gegen Leah Müller, Lukas Schmidt hat das Nachsehen im Duell gegen Melissa Bailo.
Sie gewinnt dann auch das Finale gegen Max Rygol.

Season opener in Italy.

Super Pro ET:
Seventeen participants went into the qualifying and then in the 32nd field in the eliminations.
