Drag Race Union (DMV), announcement of challenges for 2026

The Drag Race Union (DRU) in the DMV is announcing challenges in the Pro ET, Supro ET and Super Comp classes for 2026.

All results from races in which these classes are held are used for the overall ranking.

The best four races per participant count towards the overall ranking.

A maximum of two races per race track may be used for the overall ranking.

For races in Santapod: The two best results from each participant's first three races can be used for the overall ranking. However, if a participant would like other races held later in the season to be counted towards the DRU Challenge overall ranking, he must name these races before the first race in Santapod. Otherwise the later results cannot be taken into account.

All drivers of the relevant class who have registered on time before the start of the season and have been accepted by the organizer are eligible for the respective challenge ranking.

Enrollment: You can enroll from now on until April 6th, 2026. €100 will secure you participation in the Pro ET, Supro ET or Super Comp Challenge, including a driver T-shirt. Payment possible via Paypal or bank transfer. Please also indicate if you do not want to use your first three races in England, but later ones, for scoring purposes.

Every participant is obliged to affix two (approx. DIN A 4 sized) challenge stickers with the DRU logo, the challenge logos and the sponsor logos on the racing vehicle in a clearly visible manner.

The individual results of the races are the basis for the points calculation (see below) and these are awarded based on driver and class. A transfer (different driver, different class) is not possible.

Points awarded for the Pro ET, Supro ET and Super Comp Challenge:

Qualification:
The qualification order is based on the smallest positive difference to the selected dial in or class index 8.90 in Super Comp. The top qualifier receives as many points as the participants are on the final qualification list. But a maximum of 16 points. For the next places (2, 3, 4,…) there is one point less. The last participant gets one point. If there are more than 16 participants on the list, participants in 17th place or higher receive one point.

Examples:

  • 16 participants, top qualifier 16 points, the 16th place 1 point.
  • 20 participants, top qualifiers 16 points, places 16-20 get 1 point.
  • 7 participants, top qualifier 7 points, the 7th 1 point.

Elimination heats:
Each participant receives 20 points for each lap of the race achieved.
Example: Field of 16:
RD 1 achieved, 20 points.
RD 2 reaches 40, points.
Reached RD 3 (semi-finals), 60 points.
Reached RD 4 (final), 80 points.
Winner: 100 points:

The points per racing event consist of the points for qualification and round points in the elimination heats. (Example: Top qualifier and winner in a field of 16: 16+100=116 points. Qualified in 5th place and eliminated in the first round in a field of 16: 12+20=32 points).

Alternates/Points:
If an “alternate” (alternate rule) is used after qualification and the elimination ladder has been posted, this driver will receive the round points from the first round on. The originally qualified driver receives his qualification points and the 20 points for reaching the first round.

Races from events that were interrupted and subsequently canceled (Rain, Curfew,...): The heats up until the race is canceled will be counted. The lap must have been completed completely (all pairings). The winners from the last completed round before the cancellation will also receive the points for reaching the next round.

If there is a tie in points between two or more participants at the end of the season, the following criteria will be used to determine the overall ranking:

  • Most race wins (1st place) of the results represented in the overall ranking.
  • Most round wins in the races of the results represented in the overall ranking.
  • Most qualifying points from the 4 races of the overall points.
  • The better single qualifying result from the 4 races in the overall points.
  • If there is still a tie, the prize money for the two places in question (e.g., 3rd and 4th place - there will then be two third places, no fourth place) will be added together and each of the two participants will receive half of the total amount.

Participants are generally obliged to provide evidence of their results. However, we usually organize the results ourselves to calculate the points. Participants are obliged to check that their points are correct. These are published promptly after each event here. A protest against the points ranking can only be submitted by midnight on the day after the last race. The last race is expected to be the National Finals at Santa Pod, end of September.
If you have any questions, please contact Markus Münch.

Trophies, prize money and non-cash prizes for the winners and those placed will be awarded at the championship celebration in October.
The location and date will be published promptly.

In case of doubt, the advertisement in German language is decisive.

Let's go racing.
